Import a DataSnipper workbook

Import the documents and snips of a DataSnipper workbook into Blast Audit, see what is not imported yet, and find the snip shortcuts.

Blast Audit can read the DataSnipper data saved in a workbook and import its documents and snips. Your DataSnipper data is left as it is.

Before you start

  • Sign in to Blast Audit. The import is not offered in read-only mode or before your firm is set up.
  • Work on a copy of the workbook the first time, so you can compare the two.
  • Keep Excel open until the import and the OCR that follows are finished.

Import a DataSnipper workbook

  1. Open the workbook in Excel.
  2. On the Blast Audit tab, click Documents.
  3. Blast Audit detects the DataSnipper data and asks what to do. Depending on your version, this is a window titled Import DataSnipper data? or a banner at the top of the pane.
  4. Click Import now (window) or Migrate (banner).
  5. When it is done, Blast Audit shows how many items were imported, and how many were skipped or need review. OCR then runs on the imported documents.

If you are not ready, click Later or Hide for now. Don't ask again or Don't offer again stops the question for this workbook.
