Every snip keeps its source
Each snipped cell stays linked to its exact spot in the document. Select the cell and the viewer opens that page with the snip highlighted.
The viewer follows the selected cell
Select a cell that has no snip yet and the viewer searches the open document for the value it shows, so the evidence is often on screen before you draw.
Reads 1.234,56 and 1,234.56
The decimal mark is detected from the page, then from the whole document, so a German 1.234,56 and an English 1,234.56 reach Excel as the same number. Amounts in parentheses or with a minus sign are read as negative.
Opens your DataSnipper workbooks
Blast Audit imports the documents embedded in a DataSnipper workbook and the Text, Sum, Table, Validation and Exception snips linked to them. A report lists what converted and what needs review, and exports to CSV.
One colour per snip type
Each snip type fills its cell with its own colour. An administrator can lock the palette for the whole organization.
Annotated PDF export
Export a document with its snip boxes, markups and comments drawn on the pages, plus a cover page that summarizes them.
What each snip writes into the cell
Text Snip
Draw a box around a word, a date or an amount. The value lands in the selected cell, and the cell stays linked to that spot in the document.
- Amounts are written as numbers, read with the document’s own decimal convention.
- Shortcut: Ctrl+= (⌘+= on a Mac).
Sum Snip
Select the amounts that make up a total, on one page or several. Blast Audit writes a formula such as =a+b-c, so the reviewer sees every part of the sum.
- A second Sum Snip on the same cell adds its amounts to the existing formula.
- Shortcut: Ctrl+[ (⌘+[ on a Mac).
Table Snip
Draw around a table and its rows and columns are written into the sheet, with the link to the document kept.
- Shortcut: Ctrl+M (⌘+M on a Mac).
Validation Snip
Mark a value on the document as agreed. The cell gets a ✓. If the cell already holds a value, the ✓ is added next to it through the number format: the value, the formulas that read it and its snip link stay as they were.
- Shortcut: Ctrl+, (⌘+, on a Mac).
Exception Snip
Flag a difference on the document. The cell gets a ✗, next to its value if it has one, and a red fill that makes the exception easy to find in the workpaper.

Extract values in three steps
Open the document
Import a PDF, a scan or a Word file. It opens in the viewer next to your sheet, with OCR where the document needs it.
Pick a snip type and draw
Select the target cell, choose Text, Sum, Table, Validation or Exception, and draw on the document.
Check it from the cell
The value, formula or mark lands in the cell with its link to the source. A reviewer selects the cell and sees the evidence.
