Compare Up to 10 Document Versions

Same input, same result

The comparison is a word-by-word diff computed in the add-in. No AI model reads or judges the documents, so running it twice gives the same list of differences.

Up to ten versions at once

Pick the reference, for example the signed contract or last year’s report, then add up to ten versions. Each one is compared with the reference and shows its own status.

Layout noise filtered out

Text that reflows across a line or page break is not a change. Running headers and footers, page numbers, repeated table headings, hyphenation and quote styles are ignored.

Reformatted numbers are flagged

A number rewritten from 1.234,56 to 1,234.56 is reported, because a reviewer should see it. A space inside a number, including a non-breaking one, is not a change.

Scans and Word files too

Text PDFs are read directly. Scans go through OCR first, and Word, Excel or email files are converted to PDF when you import them.

Excel list and annotated PDFs

Export every difference to a filterable Excel sheet (version, page, change, reference text, new text). Select a row to reopen the comparison there. The PDF numbers each difference, removals in red, additions in green.

Compare versions in three steps

Choose the reference

Open Version Comparison and pick the document every version should be checked against.

Add the versions

Add up to ten versions. Each comparison starts as soon as OCR has finished on that document.

Review and export

Scroll both documents in sync and read the added and removed counts per page. Export the Excel list or annotated PDFs. The comparison is saved read-only in the workbook.
